FREENOTES HARMONY PARK SELECTED AS A WINNER IN THE 36th ANNUAL TELLY AWARDS

Durango, CO, March 25, 2015– Freenotes Harmony Park was named a Bronze winner in the 36th Annual Telly Awards for their piece titled Innovations in Music Therapy, which aired nationwide on Discovery Channel in 2014. With nearly 12,000 entries from around the world, this is truly an honor.

Music is a global artistic language creating community, connection and a sense of belonging. Musical parks ensure environments that are useable by all people including an aging population, people with disabilities and an increasingly diverse culture. Freenotes provide a safe and enjoyable means of stimulating the senses.

Freenotes instruments are easy for everyone to play offering creative fun for beginners and experts alike. As real musical instruments they become socially interactive sound sculptures that capture the imagination. The tones are pure and soothing with no wrong notes creating an instantaneous response of joy. As public art, these percussion instruments deliver the highest quality sound while withstanding the rigorous play of children and the extreme elements of nature.

The Telly Awards is the premier award honoring outstanding video and film productions. Winners represent the best work of the most respected advertising agencies, production companies, television stations, cable operators, and corporate video departments in the world.

A prestigious judging panel of over 500 accomplished industry professionals, each a past winner of a Silver Telly and a member of The Silver Telly Council, judged the competition, upholding the historical standard of excellence that Telly represents. The Silver Council evaluated entries to recognize distinction in creative work. The Telly Awards joined forces with YouTube to give the public the power to view and rate videos submitted as part of the People’s Telly Awards.

“The Telly Awards mission is to honor the very best in film and video,” said Linda Day, Executive Director of the Telly Awards. “Freenotes accomplishment illustrates their creativity, skill, and dedication to their craft and serves as a testament to great film and video production.”

“The joy of creating music is so strong, I believe if most people could have access to musical instruments their lives and society itself could be changed for the better,” said Donna Codd, CEO, Freenotes Harmony Park. The beauty of Freenotes is that all instruments play together in perfect tuning. Not only can you approach an instrument you’ve never seen before and be able to play music on it immediately, you can also instantly play with others.

Freenotes are an ensemble of real instruments that make real music for untrained musicians by way of their unique tuning. Concert quality sound distinguishes our products from other outdoor musical instruments. Designed by Grammy Award musician, Richard Cooke, he set out with the intention of making music accessible to everyone.
