Freenotes are true musical instruments that make substantial contributions toward overall well being. Freenotes Harmony Park playgrounds aspire to enrich learning and lifelong enjoyment of music. With Freenotes instruments, free musical expression is simple for beginners and experts alike.
Freenotes are fun and easy to play offering a great sensory play experience. Musical knowledge is not necessary. These sculptural percussion instruments deliver the highest quality sound while withstanding the rigorous play of children and the extreme elements of nature. The tones are pure and soothing and being tuned to the pentatonic scale, there can be no wrong notes!
Grammy award winning musician Richard Cooke created Freenotes to assure musical success for all players. Freenotes use compatible major, minor and modal components extracted from the familiar C major scale. Every sound is complimentary in a manner similar to an orchestra. The more Freenotes in your playground the greater the musical adventure.
Freenotes Harmony Park instruments enable children to discover confident self-expression that is accessible and enriching. Making music simple and readily available to our children often develops their interest in pursuing music in a more traditional sense.

The Rhyme and the Reason
When children play an instrument or learn a new dance move, they experience a unique integration of body and mind. Sensory integration is crucial to a child's readiness for subjects such as reading, writing and math. This process of kinesthetic learning has also been proven to work in helping children with special needs such as ADD, ADHD and autism.
Musical play allows children to make choices and to enjoy themselves in a spontaneous, intuitive manner. Coupled with the outdoor environment and all that it encompasses, Freenotes deliver a rare and exciting learning opportunity that is child focused and socially dynamic.
